As many of us would agree, the search for a new General Manager is at the top of the list of the most important issues faced by the SSA and the citizens of Martha's Vineyard.  While we are disappointed that the Board recently declined our request to add a public member to the Search Committee, we will continue to voice our collective need for input in this important hire.

-  Do you want to learn more about the hiring process of this important position?

-  Do you want to share the specific qualifications you think this person, the new leader of the SSA, should have?

-  What do you want Faststream, the Search Firm that the SSA has hired, to know about the needs of our island regarding our "lifeline"?

-  What issues have you experienced with the decisions/actions of the current General Manager that you want us to avoid in the future?

Well, now is your chance to have your voice heard!  We just learned that Jim Malkin, the Martha’s Vineyard Board representative and the Chair of the SSA Board, will appear at a Public Listening Zoom Session about the new General Manager Search on Wednesday, April 23 at 4:00 pm.

This meeting is hosted by the Dukes County Commission, who appointed Malkin to his position. This is a chance to ask questions and voice any concerns you may have about the process.
