SSA Citizens’ Action Group

Your Voice Is Needed Now

On February 11 and 12 at 5:30 PM, the Steamship Authority will host virtual Town Halls to discuss the new reservation system, with a specific focus on Waitlist and Standby policies. These policies will directly affect how Islanders and port communities access ferry service. A Zoom link will be posted in advance.

To ensure these sessions lead to real answers, the Steering Committee of the SSA Citizens’ Action Group is compiling a focused list of real life experiences and use cases involving the waitlist and standby process.

This list must be submitted by February 6. That deadline is fast approaching.

We need your input now. Please take a few minutes to email us your experiences, concerns, and examples so they can be included and addressed directly by the Steamship Authority.

As Steering Committee member Beth O’Connor shared, “Every impression I have so far is that the Steamship Authority is open to listening.”
Let’s make sure they hear from you while there is still time.

Thank you for being engaged and taking action when it matters most.
